What an exciting three months of May, June and July of 2015! After a weak January and February through April which trailed 2013, the last three consecutive months have been really active. However the year-to-date number of closed residential sales is still short of the 2013 year.

In the case of the Kalamazoo/Portage overall market the “middle “ of the market shows an active inventory of 4.83 months of inventory to 5.44 months. That is a little slanted towards a Seller’s Market but only slightly. Plus the top end of the market (above $500,000) still has an inventory in excess of a year so that market portion would be more of a Buyer’s Market.
